You have every right to feel the way you do, and we would like to resolve this for you as best as we can. So in order to take advantage of the same-day discount, you run the risk of the game not being available, and that should have been made more clear. The same-day discount doesn’t apply to games booked in advance, and we do not hold games without payment. You are correct that the staff member you spoke with was trying to save you money, but it absolutely should have been made clear to you the risk of the same day discount and not reserving the game ahead of time. I spoke with the staff asking what happened and we take full responsibility for the miscommunication, nothing that you experienced should have ever happened. Our customer service is something we hold very highly so this situation is not something we take lightly. As for your experience you had with the issue of not getting to play the 2nd game I truly apologize. Hi Pete, let me start off saying thank you very much for the kind words regarding our game. And they didn't really seem too worried about what had gone down. To be told one thing going in to a room and then come out and be told that someone booked the room out from under us just because they didn't have to give the 20% discount (is what I assume is why they allowed it) isn't right and doesn't sit well with me at all. We had offered to pay right away and while they tried to do something nice for us by getting a discount for paying later, we ended up getting screwed out of playing the 2nd game we had planned on playing and were told wouldn't be an issue.Īgain, their rooms are good, but customer service wasn't the greatest. While I know another group may have come in and booked the room, I'm not sure why the employees didn't tell that group that showed up after us that someone had already booked the Pirates Treasure room. So book a 3rd room so we could play the 2nd room we had been told we would be fine to play immediately after. The only solution they offered to us was, we could book and play the game the other group was almost finished with and then book the Pirates Treasure once they finished that one. So if we wanted to play the Pirates Treasure game we would have to wait until around 545pm (instead of the 245pm we were told wouldn't be any issue). When we finished the room we were informed by our game master that there was some bad news and that a group had come in just after us and booked 2 rooms back to back and that the Pirates Treasure was going to be their second game they played. We asked if we should pay for both at the time of checking in for the first room and we were told to wait until we finish the first room to pay for the second room and we would get a discount on the second room. We decided to start with Red Sled Redemption and were going to go to the Pirates Treasure Room immediately after. We went in letting them know that we wanted to play 2 rooms back to back. However, I will say that we weren't throughly pleased with the customer service we received. Great room and would highly suggest playing here. We did the Red Sled Redemption room today and it was very well thought out and very challenging. Let me start off by saying that Doldrick's has very solid rooms. Keep the 100% private rooms, and you will become the go to place for escape rooms in Orlando!! Top marks Doldrick’s, we will be back on our next vacation. Our concern was they might be a tab too easy, but they were complex yet winnable. Personally, we preferred the pirate themed room but both were superb. Another fantastic room, with a new but equally brilliant gamesmaster. It was so good, we booked to return the same day to play the bomb squad room. This is how escape rooms should be managed. The pirate room was amazing, the puzzles not too hard and the gamesmaster (I think she was called Amy) was amazing - she is one of the best as she knew when to nudge us, but not too much as we like working things out ourselves without clues, plus she was instantly likeable. offering no chance of being locked in with random people. In the UK all escape rooms are private, so thank goodness that Doldrick’s exists in the U.S. For me, escape games aren’t about meeting new people - they are about competitive fun with your family/ friends. people are willing to join other groups and pay to play with others. Doldrick’s USP is that you have 100% guaranteed private rooms. The concept was brilliant, theming, technology, puzzles all on-point. We have played a lot of escape rooms in the past, but none ever like this. We played the pirate themed room as four adults on holiday from UK.
